Two years ago, the 18 years old Nomin.B, while was studying in Raffles International Institute Mongolia, came up with the idea of making the World’s biggest Mongolian traditional boots (Mongol gutal). This idea struck her while she was in Raffles. She took the courage to make the first step, formed a team, and work towards her Dream!
Today her Dream comes true! Nomin is only 20 years old; she becomes the girl who made the World’s Biggest Boot. The World’s biggest mongol gutal, is now showcased to all Mongolians at the Chinggis Khan Complex, in Tuw aimag. She is planning to register her proud achievement into the Guiness Books of World Records, as the World’s biggest boot. At this moment, the World’s biggest boot was registered in Minnesota, United State. Its height is 6 meter. Nomin said that as the boot she made is the highest, she believes that there is no boot in the World is higher than hers.
Nomin’s Mongol gutal is 9 meters in height; length 6 meters and width 3 meters. The boot size is 39 x 195 = 7605. It can fit any beings with the height of 45 meters and weight of 4.4 tons. The materials consist of 225 cowhides, 4500 meters of hemps, 120 meter2 of felt, 72 meter2 of foam materials used for cushioning, 13 meter 3 of woods, 300 liters glue and 180 meter2 of canvases.
