Fashion And Interior Students Visited The Textile Inspiration Center Of Nan Yang Textile Group

On August 3rd, 2010 students from the fashion design and interior design program had a chance to visit the Nan Yang Inspiration Center (NIC) of Nan Yang Textile Group, which is one of the biggest textile manufacturer and supplier in Thailand. It is known for working with major brands such as Nike, Giordano, and FedEx.



The students were honored to have Mr. William Gardiner, the director of the Inspiration Center, to present a talk on sustainable design and sustainability.  Mr. Gardiner also led our students for a tour around the building. During the tour, they were introduced to Nan Yang’s special manufacturing processes and innovations, including the breakthrough technology called “1 Way Thru” fabric, which keeps the wearer’s body dry, provide long-lasting comfort and also better performance in any activity. The students were given the chance to ask many questions and to get in touch with the Nan Yang Textile Group. It is interesting for the students since Nan Yang is able to provide them with fabrics and techniques that they can't easily see elsewhere.



On top of that the interior students might get the opportunity to help redesign their show room as Mr. Gardiner saw the inspiration in our Interior Design students. Nan Yang Textile Group welcomes new and fresh talents and is positively motivated to work with our students!
